This game will be played for the championship of the South Atlantic States, and promises to be a fight to the finish, for hieither team has been defeated this season, and" the best team will win. The A. & M. aggregation have several men such as Sadler, Be lee and Wilson Sykes, of the University of North Carolina, all of whom are well-known in the football circles and alone would be a team themselves. The Presbyterians will have all of their team in the game on that date and tbcv have already shown their strength against the University of Virginia on Sept. 27, the score on that date being Virginia 5 and Davidson 5, also against V. P. I. on Oct. 26th the score being a victory for Da vidson, Virginia Polytechnic In stitute 5. Davidson College 12. Nichols at her home on York street in honor of ber daughter, Mrs. W IS. Nichols Tne bouse was decorated for the occasion. The decorations were green and white; and lovely potted plants palms and fetus, with gracefu garlands formed an ensemble that lent a delicate and bewitch log grace and loveliness to Mm scene, lne dining room whs especially pretty. The table was arranged so as to represent a lake, witn green and white tulle festooned above. The color scheme of green and wbite was carried out in the refresh ments. Green candles in silvti candelabra were used in all o the rooms and the electric lights were shaded in green. Mesdames J. S. Booth and L. D. Cbilds met the guests at the door and made them welcome Little Misses Letitia Key and Elizabeth Lindsay and Master Tom Nichols ' bore the card trays. In the receivin? line were Mesdames L. T. Nichols, W. E Nichols, Sam W. Kluttz, L. C. Crenshaw, and Mcllwain, of Rock Hill.' Others assisting to receive were Mesdames J. W Reed, Edw. Guy, Jos. Lindsay, Claudia Key R E. Sims, W. A. Corkill. In the mayor's court vester day morning the following oases were disposed of: .John Bran don, drunk and disorderly and reckless driving, fined $2.50 and the cost in each case; Abner Pierce, reckless driving, fined $2.50 and the cost; Ed Scruggs, drunk, forfeited a bond of $7.50. Six inches of snow fell Sunday in Michigan and there was a heavy gale on the Great Lakes. Death of Child. v , Amie, the little two year-old daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Mac G. Anders, died Saturday after noon, after a lingering illues of several months. The funeral services were held at the home on West Main street Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock conducted by Rev. E. L. Bain, Oakwood body was laid to rest in the City Cemetery. The bereaved par ents have the tenderest sympa thy of their many friends in the loss of their beloved little one. The dedicatory sermon was preached at 11 a. m. by Rev. W. A. Deaton, of Hickory. Mr. Deaton also preached the instal lation sermon in the evening, delivering the charge to both the pastor and congregation. Anderson, pastor of the Lorav Presbyterian church, has been (suffering for several days with throat trouble, and on this account was unable to preach Sunday.
